There are, IMHO, far too many possible answers to this question. Three of them were given on the question sheet, and at least two of these could be worded differently and still be correct.
Why not ask, "Which Latin phrase, often translated as 'a blank slate', can also mean a fresh start, or the mind in its unformed original state?"
